Answer: A method of joining books with filaments drawn from mild steel in metal. There are two types of saddle stitching: saddle stitching and peace setting, both of which are commonly used simple book linking methods (see Figure 10).

21. What is sewing set?

A: Sewing is the use of an industrial sewing machine with a structure similar to a home sewing machine to book books into a book. Sewing can be set for flat or saddle stitching, with a stitch length of up to 10mm and a minimum of 1.5mm (see Figure 11).

22. What is the lock line?

Answer: The sewing thread binding is a method of linking the booklet in a sequence of one book, one booklet, and one booklet with a thread in the order of the last fold. There are two types of lock wire: flat lock and cross lock (see Figure 12-1). The sewing thread is widely used for various processing such as hardcover, paperback, and luxury, and it is secure and easy to store.

23. What is a flat lock?

Answer: The flat lock is a form of sewing thread set, also called real lock, that is, the position of the lock lock line for each frame is the same, and the lock processing is made into a booklet in the order of the order (see Fig. 12-2).

24. What is cross lock?

Answer: The cross lock is also called the jump lock. It is another form of the lock line. The hinge lock is a line for every two posts. The book position of the lock is the same for every other post line, that is, 1, 3, 5... The line positions are the same, and the positions of the lines 2, 4, and 6 are the same (see Figure 12-3).

25. What is a metal ring?

Answer: The metal ring is a kind of linking method specially used for processing loose-leaf books and so on. When the metal ring is set at the time of processing, the metal wire or strip is made into different shapes and specifications as required, and then this booklet is first punched and then put into a booklet (see Figure 13).

26. What is wireless glue binding?

A: No adhesive glue is a way to use glue instead of metal wire or cotton thread to glue the spread of the book.

The main process of wireless glue binding is to mill the booklet in the final crease and cut the hole, and then apply the adhesive to bond the book sheet to the mouth and bond firmly one by one (see Figure 14-A, B). , C).

27. What is the hot line of plastic line?

A: The connection method for the hot-stamped plastic line is to use a threading mechanism similar to saddle stitching before the final folding of the folding machine. At the last crease of each signature, a tailor-made thread is worn from the inside out. After the plastic thread is cut, the plastic cord is cut off, and both ends (two legs) are formed with the outer legs of the signature outwards, and then heated at the feet to make the plastic thread of the foot melt and bond with the folds of the booklet. (The other leg is left on the outside to be glued to other books.) After the collation, cover, hot back, and compression molding, the other leg between the posts is firmly attached to the back of the book. The purpose of joining the book is reached (see Figure 15).
