Mao Shouchang, head of the Rubber Experts Group at the China Science and Technology Consultation Service Center and a senior engineer, revealed recently that the exhaust gas pollution problem that has plagued the reclaimed rubber industry is expected to be overcome. The rubber industry in China has developed a new process for high-temperature continuous catalytic production of reclaimed rubber. It began to enter the stage of industrialization trial operation. This new process will enable the reclaimed rubber industry to completely remove the pollution cap and achieve clean production. According to Professor Mao, there are more than 600 reclaimed rubber enterprises in China. The vast majority of companies use dynamic desulfurization technology. The dynamic desulfurization tanks used by more than 600 companies are expected to be around 800 units, and they will continuously discharge exhaust gas to the outside. The air is seriously polluted. The new process of high temperature continuous catalytic process was jointly developed by Beijing Luze Rubber Industry Environmental Science Research Institute and Nantong Huili Rubber Group Co., Ltd. No waste gas or waste water is produced during the production process, and the efficiency is increased by 10-16 times.
