    (1) Sample Preparation

The sample is the same as the tensile test.

(2) Determination

Elongation and tensile strength are measured using the same specimen, which is mainly performed during the determination of the tensile strength on the device. The operation is as follows:

2    The reading plate load reading pointer of the adjusted device is placed at the specified tension value.

    2 Start the machine and apply tension. When the load indicator hands and the load reading indicator coincide, read L1 or ΔL1 (mm) immediately without stopping the machine.

    3 As the equipment continues to increase , read L2 or ΔL2 (mm) immediately when the first crack appears on the grain ( coating ) of the sample.

    4 Continue to apply pressure until the specimen is broken and read L3 or ΔL3 (mm) immediately.

    5 Calculate the specified load elongation E1 , the grain surface elongation E2 , and the elongation at break E3 , and report the results by taking the arithmetic average of the four vertical and horizontal measurement results.

    6 Permanent Elongation The sample can be taken from another piece and pulled down to the required value for the specified load. Place it in standard air for 30 minutes, then measure L4 or Δ L4 (mm) to calculate E4 . The results of the report are taken as the arithmetic mean of the four vertical and horizontal measurement results.

Note: If using the medium sample L0 = 50mm . The cross-sectional width of the specimen is 10 (mm) . If the thickness is t (mm) , the cross-sectional area is S = 10 t (mm) . The general determination of E1, the remaining items can be determined as needed.
