Prints are prone to aliasing (products) analysis

Products that are prone to jaggies in printed matter:

1. Stainless steel pipe fittings, especially pipe fittings and small products;

(such as stainless steel towel racks, storage baskets, etc.)

2. Smooth, angular products;

(such as hoods, drying cupboards, etc.)

3. There are dense and even lines of products;

(such as air-conditioning indoor unit protection cover, outdoor fan protection cover, fan cover, etc.)

4. With flexible hose products;

(such as vacuum cleaners, washing machines, etc.)

Second, the above categories will appear jagged in the following situations:

1. When the reversal film is used in a 1:1 size, 300-350 dpi, or after scanning, there will be sawtooth;

Analysis of reasons: The reversal film records all the details of the product (color, layer, texture). The larger the magnification, the clearer the product; when scanning at 1:1, the details of the product on the reversal film cannot be fully displayed. The phenomenon of saw tooth appears.

Solution: The reversal film of the above products can be enlarged by 2~3 times (300~350dpi) on the basis of the actual size needed for scanning. The 3X effect is ideal, and it can be reduced to the actual need again in Ps. The size can effectively avoid jaggies.

2. Sawtooth appears when importing PC CorelDRAW to the bottom in psd format;

Analysis of reason: Due to the different characteristics of the storage format of the image software (Adobe Photoshop), the final results are not the same. After Ps software's psd file is imported into DRAW, the pixels will be reduced, resulting in the appearance of jagged. Sometimes the image is slightly deformed and the image will be damaged (such as the rotation angle). The picture must be processed in Ps.

Solution: In the design and production process, use tif format as much as possible, and tif format is the most complete format for saving image pixels. However, in practice, it is sometimes difficult to avoid the use of psd format, can be combined with the contents of the previous step, but also to achieve the effect of anti-aliasing. The general product picture generally uses the 300dpi resolution in the design process, and these types of product pictures are best to use the 350dpi resolution in the Ps.

3. When the product is taking digital photos, if the document is too small, it will appear jagged;

Analysis of the reason: The principle of digital photography and reversal film is actually the same. The reversal film is taken on the film and then exported to the actual electronic document by scanning or electricity, and the digital camera shoots directly into electronic. The file can be selected in different sizes when shooting. The larger the file format is, the higher the pixel is. The higher the magnification of the reversal film is, the higher the magnification of the picture is. Therefore, the digital photo file will also appear jagged.

Solution: When taking this kind of product, when shooting digital photos, the shooting file is 3 to 4 times larger than the actual file. In the process of designing, the adjustment method of digital photos is the same as the previous steps, and it can also effectively avoid the sawtooth phenomenon. But the effect is slightly worse than the reversal film.
