Special recommendation does not encourage the use of beverage bottles shrink film

As an important flexible packaging material, PVC heat shrinkable film has been widely used in the food packaging field. PVC heat-shrinkable films are favored by manufacturers, distributors, and companies because of their waterproofness, flame retardancy, relatively low cost, and high output. However, due to the difficulty in forming PVC heat shrinkable film, it is necessary to add a large amount of plasticizers. Under the conditions of high temperature and grease, the plasticizer and vinyl chloride monomer in the heat shrinkable film will be dissolved, causing hidden dangers to the health of consumers. In addition, since PVC heat shrinkable film is difficult to recycle after being discarded, it cannot be incinerated (easily produces strong carcinogen dioxins and acid gas hydrogen chloride). Therefore, from the perspective of resource conservation, environmental protection, and consumer safety, the use of PVC heat-shrinkable film is not encouraged. At present, the popular biaxially oriented polystyrene (BOPS) and PET heat shrinkable film on the market are gradually becoming the leading products, and it also marks the future development direction of the heat shrinkable film industry. In addition, fully biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) materials have attracted wide attention because of their renewable resources and their harmlessness to the environment, which will play a pivotal role in the future market.
