Screen printing plate and substrate gap

The certain gap between the screen plate and the substrate is determined by the characteristics of the screen printing.

The screen printing plate is based on a screen, and the screen is stretched on the screen frame. When the screen is in a horizontal state, a certain degree of sag occurs. Especially in the squeegee process, the sag value will also increase. In order to ensure that the substrate will not stick to the ink during final squeegee printing and thus ensure the printing quality, the lowest part of the screen printing plate must leave the substrate. In screen printing, the squeegee and the screen plate are in contact with the movable line. The screen plate and the squeegee cannot contact with the substrate before and after the squeegee is printed. In particular, the screen plate moves along with the squeegee. And leaving the substrate, if the screen printing plate does not leave the graphic part before and after printing, the ink will continue to infiltrate and spread, causing the size of the graphic line to expand, which will cause the printing dimensional accuracy to decrease and the substrate to be distorted.

There must be a certain gap between the screen printing plate and the substrate. This also has a close relationship with the substrate movement. When the substrate is printed, especially when the surface of the forming surface (such as containers) is printed, the substrate is printed. At the same time, we must make a circular motion. There is a certain gap will not result in the vagueness of the substrate graphic or text distortion.
