Germany's Belland Vision Corporation recently introduced a new plastic, a water-soluble polymer consisting of two monomers, styrene and free hydroxyl-containing acrylates. It is said to be as easy to recycle as paper and cardboard and is inexpensive.
The company plans to invest a total of 150 million euros in this project, and has started trials of new materials for use as a variety of vessels. Recycling materials can also be used as an intermediate adhesive layer for various labels, protective films, packaging bags and composite products. .
