This alone commemorates Dr. Stayko Kulaksazov (1949-2002)
On December 24, 2002, Dr. Stayko Kulaksazov was killed in an unfortunate car accident. The Bulgarian Alpine Society lost its most representative pillar. The UIAA Medical Committee of the International Mountain Coalition lost an important member and was nicknamed by the Bulgarian mountaineering community. "Doki".
Dr. Stayko Kulaksazov was born on March 4, 1949. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bulgaria in 1974 and then worked in the International Sports Medicine Center. In recent years, he has been the head of the international cooperation department of the Bulgarian Ministry of Health. The medical affairs of all Bulgarian Himalayan Expeditions are also handled by Dr. Stayko Kulaksazov, including:
1981 - Liaozi (8516 m, the first 8000M mountain in Bulgaria), the top players
1984 - Everest (2nd mountaineering course in mountaineering), top players
1989 – Anna Pruner (8091 m, Netherlands route), top players
