500 kV AC withstand voltage test in Hunan to fill the domestic gap

Hunan Power UHV Co., Ltd. cooperated with the Hubei Electric Power Testing and Research Institute using its own high-tech equipment and successfully completed the on-site AC voltage withstand test of the 500 kV combined electric system at the largest power station in Jingzhou, Asia, for the Three Gorges power transmission. Hunan and other provinces built current "transit stations."
The station uses the outdoor 500 kV combined electrical equipment of ABB Power Company of Switzerland. It has two busbars of about 400 meters long and ten line spacings. Prior to this, there was no domestic unit or any device that could conduct on-site voltage withstand test. According to the above reasons, State Grid Corporation of China entrusted this test task to Hunan Ultra High Voltage Co., Ltd. and Hubei Provincial Electric Power Testing and Research Institute for cooperation. The Hunan Ultra High Voltage Corporation adopted a frequency-modulated and resonant device independently developed and produced. It successfully solved the problem of performing AC voltage withstand tests on ultra-high voltage and large-capacity test equipment on site, filling the domestic gap.
