The principle of immiscibility between ink and fountain solution

The liquid part of the offset printing ink is a linking material, and there are two types of dry vegetable oil and synthetic resin. The binders in offset inks have one thing in common: The non-polar hydrocarbon chains are dominant in the molecule and play a dominant role, so the ink can be viewed approximately as a non-polar liquid. The vast majority of water solution is water, and other additives are also large polar molecules, so the solution can be seen as a polar liquid, according to the similar principle of dissolving, ink and water are incompatible.
