Operational matters to be noted during the coagulation and sedimentation test

Operational matters to be noted during the coagulation and sedimentation test:

1) The sampling must be uniform. After the raw water is taken, it must be stirred evenly to minimize the difference in the raw water concentration.

2) The coagulation test is forbidden to add excessive flocculant (agent), because the larger the dosage, the more the effect will be affected, and the excess positive charge will repel each other in the water and bond into a block shape. It is conceivable that the effect is not good.

3) During the mixing process, pay attention to observe and record the process of “矾花” formation, the speed, appearance, size, compactness, and sinking speed of “矾花”.

4) During the process of coagulation, the stirrer should not be disturbed by humans, otherwise the formation of the flower will be affected, which is not conducive to the result of coagulation.

5) Coagulation, including mixing and coagulation mixing process (that is, the coagulant just added to the water mixing process) requires rapid avoidance of the interval between the water and the dosing reaction, and the short-phase difference is too large, resulting in a dissipative effect of the coagulation effect. The mixing process of the colloidal particles is about 1~2 minutes. The completion of the coagulation process takes about 20~30 minutes. The precipitation process is about 1 time. The test chamber beaker test is suitable to shorten the test room.

6) If your blender is not automatic dosing, you must start the stirrer quickly after manual dosing, so as not to affect the test results (recommended with MY3000 series stirrer)
