The US injection molder Allied mold & Die applies a bottle cap that prevents liquid from flowing out, which is easy to carry and can be used for children's bottles, to the bottle market with sucking and closing functions.
The cap was designed by Riefhard Dark, president of Allied, and it was molded directly from a copolymerized polypropylene without the need for assembly. After the release, it will compete with the cap with pressure/pull valve. Unlike pressure/pull caps, the cap is permanently attached to the bottle and cannot be removed. For this reason, Allied pointed out that filling equipment can adapt to new caps without changing the structure of the neck.
This design does not require a tamper-resistant plastic ring around an ordinary bottleneck, nor does it require the use of heat-shrinkable plastic to wrap the bottle. The bottle cap can be repeatedly opened and folded closed, and it operates like a plastic straw. This tamper-evident lid is self-contained and is formed when the bendable suction nozzle is in contact with the bottle cover in the closed position. At present, the company only produces a single-cavity prototype, and another product is being designed. However, they have allowed other manufacturers to process the bottle cap.
