Inner Mongolia drinking water bottle (tank) spot check: Qualification rate 45.8%

In early November, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Quality and Technical Supervision Organization organized quality inspection organizations in the region to conduct supervision and spot checks on 31 types of drinking water bottles (cans). It was found that there are serious quality problems in drinking water bottles (cans) in Inner Mongolia, and the sampling pass rate is only 45.8%.

A total of 24 batches of drinking water bottles (cans) of 21 companies were spot-checked, of which only 9 of 11 products were qualified, and the sampling pass rate was only 45.8%. The quality inspection department has found that many companies are trying to reduce costs and the bottle walls produced are too thin, causing vertical pressure and drop performance to fall short of standard requirements. Some companies have used PET raw materials that do not meet the requirements of the national health standards, leading to the evaporative residue project that does not meet the requirements. The failure of these projects will not only reduce the service life of the bottle, but also cause some pollution to the water in the bottle.
