How should lithographic paper be kept?

When storing plain paper, you should pay attention to the following aspects:

The warehouse where the paper is stored should be above a certain height above the ground. The warehouse should be clean, dry and in good condition. The windows should not be too much. They should be opened high and they must be small and equipped with curtains to prevent direct sunlight from reaching the paper. The temperature in the warehouse is 18-22°C and the relative humidity is 60-65%. The warehouse must be dedicated, and no other chemicals should be piled in the warehouse, or items with high oil content in the moisture content.

When the paper is placed on the ground, it should be cushioned with a height of about 35cm. At the same time, the paper should be about 40cm away from the wall. After the wind and snow weather or after the rainy weather, the warehouse should not be ventilated to prevent the paper from getting damp. During the rainy season, it is necessary to prevent the occurrence of mildew in the paper. When a slight amount of mildew appears on the paper, lightly apply with a 3% aqueous solution of formaldehyde. If there is a serious mildew phenomenon, then fumigation can be performed with sulphuryl fluoride.

Planed paper should be laid flat, not stacked vertically. After the lithographic paper is laid flat on three levels, it should be piled into a cone when it is stacked up again to prevent it from collapsing. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the warehouse, and necessary firefighting facilities should be provided. There should be no open lines on the walls and no electrical appliances with open flames should be used. A running account should be established to indicate the time the paper was shipped and the time it was stored. Paper should be issued according to the principle of advanced paper exit first to prevent the paper from deteriorating. Always check the condition of the paper, especially in the spring and summer, to prevent insects from biting.

Do not unpack the paper when it is stored. If any packaging is damaged, it should be remedied to prevent the paper from being directly exposed to the air, causing frequent exchange of water around the paper with the outside world, and causing the paper to undergo unwarranted deformation.

The temperature and humidity of the printing environment should not be too different from the temperature and humidity of the storage paper warehouse, so as to prevent the paper from being transported to the printing environment and causing the paper to be deformed after opening the package. A certain passage should be reserved between different types of paper piles for easy handling of paper.
