Douglas Machines Introduces New AxiomTM Series Case Packer

Douglas Machines' new AxiomTM series case packers use a servo system to intermittently control the carton packaging process, increasing production speeds by 50% and reducing the range of motion by 30% over mechanical structures.

The Axiom series uses a third-generation servo design to dramatically increase positional repeatability and simplify error detection and recovery, resulting in a significant increase in productivity. Improvements to the equipment include the use of stainless steel stencils and a 50% reduction in the number of parts, which can effectively reduce equipment maintenance, parts replacement, and other time required. The servo packer can also be equipped with a range of options such as the patented VelocityTM servo carton stacking system. The palletizing operation can complete 600 cases per minute, reducing product accumulation.
